Let me explain. My blog, Learn Small Business is now on the first page in Google for the term, Learn Small Business. I love what I do. It is gratifying to know that I am helping other small business owners learn about running their own business. It’s great to know that I have a tool that helps my JV partners reach a new market. I’m especially pleased with the fact that I can generate these high rankings without spending hours in front of the computer. This means that I can spend more time with my family.
But there was a time when this wasn’t so for me. I used to struggle. I used to spend hours submitting my articles to different article directories only to have my site not reach that coveted first page spot on Google. I was quite frustrated. Let me tell you a little more about Willie:
Willie Crawford was raised on a tobacco farm in North Carolina, living off welfare most of his youth. His family was so poor that he once wore his grandmother’s shoes to school while working to earn money to replace his only dilapidated pair.
This built a burning desire in Willie to break away from the poverty and build his own business.
Willie grew up in a home that never had air conditioning, and had neither a phone nor a television most of his youth. Willie bought the family’s first car when he was 17 and working a part-time, after-school job. Willie was 14
before he ever tasted steak (his family ate mostly high-fat ground beef), and still hasn’t really developed a taste for it.
Willie worked his way through college, then joined the U.S. Air Force where he traveled to 47 different countries while serving as a navigator on C-130 transport aircraft. During that time, Willie also learned “a little” of five different languages.
In 1996, while still serving in the Air Force in Hawaii, Willie decided to start his own internet-based business. By the time he retired from the Air Force in 2003, Willie had built that into a 6-figure part-time income.
Willie is now one of the world’s leading internet marketing experts, having spoken at dozens of seminars in the United States, Malaysia, Singapore and the U.K.
Willie has created dozens of information products, written over 1300 articles and 50 ebooks on ecommerce. He’s hosted seminars, and now hosts his own radio show several times per week. Willie has an incredible 1600 websites, some of which get over 1 million unique visitors per month. Willie leverages his knowledge of online marketing, and the connections that he’s developed over the years to help others launch products. Willie often serves as a middleman or a joint venture broker.
He’s also Executive Director of The International Association of Joint Venture Brokers.
Willie has written several books including a best-selling soul food cookbook (featured in The Soul Food Museum in Atlanta, Georgia), and an inspirational biography, “Git Off The Porch.”
